Love Police vs. Globalists at Secret Garden Festival

12 09 2010

From the description:

Filmed 23rd July 2010 at Secret Garden Party 2010 in Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom.

I was giving a speech at this festival and realised they’d invited a globalist as well. The Love Police go to investigate. As usual, the minions of the borg stand by their mainstream man.

I stopped watching the video about 2 minutes in, when the intense music started, and it became clear that you were intent on “subtly spreading” your own agenda through media manipulation, rather than presenting me with a common sense perspective on why his opinions were wrong.

I’ll go ahead and leap over to TED talks now, to watch the other end of things that this video mentioned, because at least they present information without the musical hyperbole attached.

Perhaps you had a point of view that was valid, one that would have helped me spread the anti-globalization message – I’ll never know, since I don’t feel like subjecting myself to your hype machine, and frankly, needing to “support” your point with dramatic music and dramatic editing is one of the media/information control tactics I’m interested in fighting, not supporting.

The Love Police are brilliant! (As was Secret Garden Party) – I think the whole video is a little tongue-in-cheek though, eh? That music can’t be for real; it’s like a Zeitgeist video (only without the really annoying, mind-numbing, slow pace.) Still, good to see no-one’s allowed to go unchecked, without a little banter at least. Looks like the same guy who does the ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ – they turned up at Sunrise Celebration (Somerset, UK) and just fixed a couple up with brand new camping equipment, tent, teddy bears etc.. excellent x

This reminds me of that scene from Clerks.

At 5:15, the guy on the left in the suit does a facepalm that made me laugh.

The way the video is edited, I can see how viewers like Justin Bruns could balk at how slanted the presentation is. However, this vid piqued my curiosity so I did a little research; but I couldn’t find much “dirt” in the way of Ian Goldin being exposed as a global dictatorship conspirator.

In fact, he seems to be involved in research concerning sustainable development, among other things. I happen to agree with that, but–

The way so much is edited out of his speech, if there was evidence of hidden agendas I couldn’t find it. Can anybody who agrees with the message of “Love police vs. the Globalist” point me in the direction of some info about the concept? I’m really not sure what to think about this.

I’m a bit curious, although not entirely convinced. Any links or book recommendations would be appreciated.
